Return of the Endesa League to La Fonteta with the visit of Monbus Obradoiro
Valencia Basket opens the final stretch of the Endesa League with the intention of consolidating its recovery in national competition after last week's win in Zaragoza seeking to break its bad streak at home in the game on round 31 in which hosts Monbús Obradoiro (Friday 16, 9:15 p.m., Fonteta, Movistar Deportes).
The taronja team has had a full week of practices to digest the European elimination and change the focus to preparing this game. And they have done it with a full roster, including the Icelandic point-guard Martin Hermannsson (already recovered from a fiber break in the soleus of the right leg) who will have to be activated in case they want to have him again in this game.
On a night in which Jaume Ponsarnau will become the second head coach with the most games coached in the history of the entity by reaching the figure of 188, his players will have to deactivate the threat in the 3-points shooting of one of the teams that most triples scores into the competition.
The precedents in the Fonteta are clearly favorable to the Taronja squad (9-1), although Valencia Basket does not forget the difficulties it had to knock down this rival in the first leg by a single point and with the final basket out of time by the Galicians. The taronja team currently occupies the fifth position in the Endesa League with a balance of 18-11.
